Capcom has just sent us a press release with some details regarding Resident Evil 6, revealing that the game takes place a decade after the original Raccoon City incident, which has prompted the US President to reveal the truth behind the outbreak, believing that the revelation will curb the current spell of bioterrorism.
At this time, Leon S. Kennedy - as the President's close personal friend having saved his daughter, Ashley - is due to be at the President's side, when the venue suffers from a bioterrorist attack, transforming the US leader beyond recognition, as seen in the announcement trailer. Leon is forced to face the President and make a difficult decision.
Meanwhile, Chris Redfield, who is still with the BSAA (Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance) finds himself in China, where there's also the looming threat of a bioterrorist attack, sparking panic on the streets. Chris and Leon must unite to face the global threat together, as the world shares the common fear that there's 'no hope left'. Hence Capcom's viral NoHopeLeft.com campaign to tease the game.
Ashley also appears in the trailer with a new character, who appears to have something special about his blood. Capcom has yet to reveal exactly who this shaven headed fella is, and how he fits into the narrative. Anyway... Why not watch the trailer again and look forward to Resident Evil 6's release on November 20th, 2012.
