Earlier this year, we cut some cake and popped some champagne to celebrate Media Molecule’s sixth birthday! We’ve had an awesome time during the last six years, seeing how the experiment we started here in Guildford has grown, giving rise to a thriving LittleBigPlanet community. This year will be no different, filled with DLC, plus new experiments from the LBP family for you to play with.
You already know about the fantastic LBP work that Tarsier Studios and Double Eleven Studios are doing on LittleBigPlanet for PS Vita, and now we are delighted to announce today a new LBP collaboration with the hugely talented team at United Front Games who will be leading a new project called LittleBigPlanet Karting! We’ve all seen that UFG has a wealth of racing experience and they’re also intimately familiar with LBP’s cornerstones of “Play, Create, Share.” With LBP’s powerful and diverse toolset in their capable hands, LittleBigPlanet Karting is sure to be an adventure that both LBP fans and kart-racing fans alike will enjoy! We are eager to see what you think of this union and especially excited to see what happens now that you can create in a 3D environment — it’s the start of a whole new LBP world! Here’s the launch trailer for Ninja Gaiden 3. It’s got swords, blood, helicopters, dinosaurs, Big Ben and dragons in it. I’d say that's pretty good value.

BioShock Infinite: Heavy Hitters bosses

George Washington... First president of the USA, national American hero and now evil killer robot in BioShock Infinite. Irrational Games has today lifted the lid on the 'Motorized Patriot', a Gatling gun-toting mechanised George Washington who you'll encounter in BioShock Infinite's floating cloud city of Columbia.

Revealed to be one of BioShock Infinite's so-called 'Heavy Hitters', the Motorized Patriot is one of many taxing bad guys who'll stalk the streets of Columbia, providing a stiff challenge for the game's hero, Pinkerton agent, Booker DeWitt.

Speaking to Kotaku, BioShock Infinite Director, Ken Levine revealed a little bit about the Motorized Patriot's background. "His job is to sell people on the vision of Columbia. The Founders have this extremely grandiose vision of what their mission is, and the Motorized Patriot's job is to go around and sell that vision—at first."

Naturally, everything goes to hell in handbasket, big time Rapture-style when the Patriots are weaponised with miniguns. "Also, the Vox Populi can hack them," explained Levine. "Later on, you'll come across Motorized Patriots who are sort of dressed up in Vox Populi colors, with different heads put on, representing one of their heroes. And they're working for the Vox Populi, spouting their propaganda."

As you may know, the Vox Populi are one of Columbia's antagonistic factions, a ruthless resistance group fighting against the Founders. Levine was also quick to distance the Heavy Hitter from BioShock's Big Daddies. "There's gonna be a lot of interesting things in the game that I think remind people a lot of BioShock, but we're not really trying to sort of match anything nose for nose," he said.

BioShock Infinite is coming on October 16th, 2012 in North America and October 19th, 2012 in Europe.

assassins creed III debut trailer

Say hello to Connor, the half English, half Native American assassin you'll be playing as in Assassin's Creed III this October. He's as bad-ass as you'd expect too, wielding plenty of pointy and shooty things.

There's his custom assassin-crest tomahawk, his pistol, dagger and hidden blades, as well as his bow and arrow, which we're sure he's a dab hand with. Armed to the teeth much? Yes.

Check out the debut trailer below, then steal yourself for Assassin's Creed III on October 30th, 2012.

The American Colonies, 1775. As a Native American warrior fights to protect his land and his people, he will ignite the flames of a young nation's revolution.
